I just love drawing leopards and this one was so much fun!
I witnessed this leopard working his way through the long grass to quench his thirst on a warm Zambian afternoon. Our fantastic guide put us in the perfect position to watch him drink.
It's always exciting to see a leopard in the wild, and even more special to see one out in the open. I love the fact I can share these special moments through my art.
Working with my favourite medium of graphite
Artists today are spoilt for choice in terms of the mediums and surfaces they can work with. My favourite is graphite on Arches aquarelle in this large format, and of course, drawing African wildlife!
