WORKSHOP IN OILS

I have just taught another fabulous 2-day workshop in oil. Not only were some great results achieved by my students but we have some great conversation and laughs along the way. So many topics are discussed and our work analysed, it is both rewarding and stimulating on many levels. We did a small painting using only three primary colours and white, the subject was of a magpie. This explored black and white areas in light and shade. One important message I like to get across is the importance of keeping the paint fresh. I am already looking forward to the next one in June which is also in oil! This painting is my demonstration piece (unfinished) that I painted on Sunday.
