KOOKABURRA

I currently have about four drawings on the go which is normal practice for me as they are always there ready to be worked on, especially if time is a bit short to paint. I encourage the routine of drawing so that it becomes part of studio life. It is the essential element in producing a painting in any given media, so draw as much as you can! For this Kookaburra I have used Nero pencils on Strathmore paper which has given me some lovely darks. This is a good combination for getting detail as well as darks, give it a go!
