National Equine Art Prize

Well I am just stoked to be a finalist in this, the inaugural National Equine Art Prize, with my painting "Thundering Hooves", a large oil measuring 31" x 48" and designed to capture the spirit of the high country horse. The event is to be held over the weekend of April 7-9th at the gorgeous town of Mansfield. The opening night will be a gala dinner on the Friday night when the lucky prizewinner will be announced along with some wine, food and wonderful entertainment so looking forward to a great evening and catching up with friends and fellow equine artists. I am so delighted that such a substantial art prize has evolved to recognise the beautiful animal that is the horse and I hope it continues for years to come!
