Teaching drawing

It is always lovely to be asked to teach drawing, especially when it is in a small nearby town and to have the classes well attended and enjoyed. I am running a series of four classes, one day for each week of September, this way the participants can progress in their drawing ability with exercises from week to week. Beginning with basic instruction on the effects of light and shade, values, edges and design, the group has moved on to drawing and shading their own still life pieces. Included in the image below is some of the group members and my demo sketch of a scrub wren from the first week.
