Work in progress

Last year I drew my first full sheet size (22" x 30") drawing of an elephant "Eye to Eye" and even though it was slow going, it was thoroughly enjoyable exercise and I was delighted with the finished piece. The large format worked well to emphasise the magnificence of the African elephant. From that first piece, I have ventured further to explore this larger size and have 3 more currently in progress. The sheer size and many layers of pencil means the drawings are in progress for months. To balance the intensity of these large pieces, I am working on some smaller drawings and am nearing the finishing line with this gorgeous ele.
